(n.) The flow of electric charge, measured in amperes. The amount of electric charge flowing past a specified circuit point per unit of time, or the rate of flow of electrons. As electrons flow in one direction, the holes left behind appear to flow in the opposite direction. Current can be visualized as electron flow (negative current flow) or hole flow (positive current flow), called conventional current flow.
