« BACK TO DICTIONARY INDEX

(n.) In audio applications, this is a combination of two or more signal channels combined and treated as a set that can be varied in overall level from a single control. Mixing consoles often provide a group function mode, where a group fader may be used to adjust the level of a group of individual channels. A group may also be referred to as a subgroup or submix.
