(n.) 1. Stereo 0.25-inch connector consisting of tip (T), ring (R), and sleeve (S) sections, wired so that T = left, R = right, and S = ground/shield. 2. A balanced-line interconnect with the positive and negative signal lines tied to tip and ring respectively, and the sleeve acting as an overall shield. 3. An insert loop interconnect with T = send, R = return, and S = ground/shield, used to pass signals between a mixing board and outboard signal processors.
