Imperfect authentic cadence (lac)

A type of authentic cadence (dominant to tonic chords) at the end of a phrase which does not meet all the criteria of a perfect authentic cadence. It is imperfect if a root is not found in the bass voices on both chords, if the soprano note on the tonic chord is not the root, or if the dominant function chord is vii diminished.
