(n.) An audio effects processor that samples sounds, stores them digitally, and outputs them at a user-specified duration after the input. It has an effect similar to reverb when a short delay (less than 100 milliseconds) is selected. It can be used to repeat words or entire phrases when a delay of several seconds is selected.
