(n.) A type of wiring connector that employs screw-down posts separated by insulating barrier strips. Used for balanced and unbalanced wiring connections, where each wire is usually terminated with a crimped spade or ring connector and screwed in place. This wiring is not easily disconnected or unplugged. Contrast with Euroblock.
