(adj.) 1. Describes audio tracks that are recorded live in the field along with the video frames. 2. Describes audio tracks or sound effects that are not synchronized with a video track. Wild effects may be gathered and synchronized in postproduction. If an error is introduced in the sync signal during postproduction, audio tracks can become wild, or out of sync, by mistake.
